Stay Safe and Support Essential Workers
InsightsDear Friend/Regalite,
I know and understand that many of you are going through challenging times. While our lives are disrupted and inconvenienced, many others face the fear and anxiety of providing care and safety for us as a society.
Regal has many spouses, children, and friends in our immediate and extended families that are on the front line, battling the COVID-19 Pandemic. My son, Trey, asked his sister to pen her thoughts about her journey from the perspective of a healthcare worker. My daughter works at St. Joseph’s Hospital in downtown Tampa as a float charge nurse, spending her time between the ER and COVID treatment floors.
“In these difficult times, it is important to seek out the positives and demonstrate gratitude for our blessings. As a healthcare worker personally caring for COVID-19 patients, I am thankful for my health and skills that I have learned throughout my nursing career. I am also thankful for the support I’ve received, from community restaurants donating meals to us on shifts, to simple text messages from family and friends inquiring about my well-being. It’s rather easy in times of uncertainty to become focused on the negative aspects of the situation, but I am incredibly thankful for those who have reached out to me. On behalf of healthcare workers and other essential workers across the country, we thank you. It is truly our pleasure to serve and help heal those who need it most”.
